Hal Sperlich is known for being a force behind the Mustang, K-cars, and minivans (in chronological order). Like Lee Iacocca, he left Ford for Chrysler, where he served as president during the late 1980s — a time when the company was rising, though it was sowing the seeds for its brief decline in the very early 1990s, until the LH and its brethren arrived.
